Meal Service Categories

One thing that makes Maceli’s different from other caterers, hotels and restaurants, is how we do Service. Most of our competitors simply add 18% to your bill and that is your service charge. Here at Maceli’s, you choose the category of service desired, which best accompanies food ordered and works with the venue where you are holding your event. We have well tested formulas to determine how many staff people will be on hand to execute your event. Your salesperson will be more than happy to explain your options. Regardless of the category you select, be assured you will receive the same quality of food and service that is consistent with our reputation.

All meal packages include our basic level of service which is Economy Buffet Service with Disposableware. This category of service includes a well-appointed buffet with tablecloths, skirts, serving dishes, serving utensils, disposable plates, cutlery, and napkins. Of course, the number of servers which will attend to you and your guests will be determined by the number of guests attending your party.

Economy Buffet Service w/ Disposableware: (included in price of meal package)

Buffet Service w/ Plastic plates, cutlery, napkins. Coffee, Iced Tea and Water will be presented on a beverages station with the purchase of Beverage Service. Dessert will be presented on a dessert station with the purchase of Dessert.

Eco-friendly Buffet Service: (an additional $1.00/person)

For those of you who would like a convenient clean up without the guilt of filling landfills with plastic, this is the option for you. This level includes buffet service w/ cornstarch cutlery, sugar cane fiber plates, and paper napkins. Coffee, Iced Tea and Water will be presented on a beverages station with the purchase of Beverage Service. Dessert will be presented on a dessert station with the purchase of Dessert.

Economy Buffet Service w/ China:

This level of service is ideal for large venues where seating is varied and plentiful, such as Abe and Jakes and Liberty Hall. It includes buffet service w/ china plates and linen-wrapped utensils, which are available at the end of the buffet. Nothing would be set on guest tables. Beverages would be presented on a station with the purchase of beverage service. Dessert would be presented on a station with the purchase of dessert.

Maceli’s/SpringHill Suites: $2.50/person

Other Venues $3.00/person

Standard Buffet Service w/ China:

This is our most popular level of service. At this level, guests tables are set with colored napkins of your choice, knives, forks, glasses and carafes of ice water (with purchase of beverage service), and salt & pepper. Iced tea and Coffee are available with beverage service at a beverage station. Dessert would be presented on a dessert station. This level of service does have an option in which the napkins are presented in water glasses instead of folded on the table.

Maceli’s/SpringHill Suites: $3.00/person

Other Venues $4.00/person

Premium Buffet Service w/ China:

This level of service is a combination of buffet and full service. This service is perfect for events which feature a program. Although your guests will need to go through the buffet for the meal proper, cold beverages are readily available on guest tables, and coffee is served to the table along with dessert. At this level, guests tables are set with: dinner forks, dessert forks, knives, spoons, empty glasses which present colored napkins of your selection, coffee cups and saucers, carafes of ice water & iced tea (with beverage service), salt & pepper, and cream and sugar.

Other Venues $6.50/person

Ultimate China Service for a Full Service Meal

This is our highest level of service. At this level, everything is served to the table. Each guest setting includes the following: folded napkin, dinner fork, salad fork, desert utensil, knife, spoon, bread and butter plate, glass of water, coffee cup & saucer, salt & pepper, cream and sugar. Iced Tea is offered to guests after salad are served. Coffee service accompanies dessert. Tables can also be pre-set with wine and champagne glasses, allowing bartenders to serve guests at their tables.

Other Venues $9.00/person

Banquet China Service

If for some reason, your particular needs do not fit into one of our traditional service levels, feel free to discuss your options with our sales staff who will design a level of service for you. Price would be determined after evaluating your needs.
